A six-week training course on cross-Straits finance and trade cooperation was hosted by Huaqiao International Business Service Park starting Sept 28. A ceremony was held in Peking University to celebrate the completion of the course on Nov 9.

With an objective to improve official competence in scientific development, the training course focused on knowledge related to the construction of the cross-Straits trade demonstration area.

Experts with profound theoretical knowledge and experiences in cross-Straits cooperation and trade were invited as the course’s lecturers.

By combining theory with practice, the training course includes the latest knowledge and concepts on economic globalization, cross-Straits industrial cooperation and financial development. Last but not least, the course mainly focused on professional knowledge on how to develop a cross-Straits finance and trade demonstration area.

A total of 32 students received the certificate of completion from Peking University at the closing ceremony; five of them were selected as outstanding students.
