MetLife launches further education project
2013-11-19

A "further education project" was recently launched by Sino-US United MetLife Insurance Company (MetLife) and the Distance and Further Education School of Southwest Jiaotong University.

The project is a distance education program carried out on the Internet. MetLife's telesales employees are the project's targeted students. They can study subjects in the School of Distance and Further Education online and receive an academic certificate after passing an examination. Southwest Jiaotong University, a partner of the project, is a part of Project 211.

Telesales employees in the insurance industry have high mobility due to pressure caused by sales performance, poor belongingness and support.

The objective of the project is to improve staff retention rates and overall quality, in addition to strengthening belongingness in the company.

A total of 30 MetLife telesales employees from its Huaqiao base will be the first batch of students for the further education project.
