Jingzhou has been announced to be the National Facilitating Industries Transfer Demonstration Plot on 29th Feb. Wang Xiaodong, the vice governor of Hubei Province, released that this demonstration plot contains one central region and 4 surrounding regions, namely Jingzhou, Jingmen, Xiantao, Qianjiang, and Tianmen.

Jingzhou is the fifth National Facilitating Industries Transfer Demonstration Plot in China, as well as the second regional development planning on the state strategic level in Hubei. It is reported that the first one in Hubei is Wuhan Urban Agglomeration.

Hubei is going to build a brand new industrial stucture which regards Jingzhou as the center surrounded by Jingmen, Qianjiang, Tianmen, Xiantao. In order to facilitate the industries transfer accumulation zone, Hubei will also take advantages of Yangtze River, the multiple transport channel of Hanyi express highway and Hanyi rail, as well as the multiple trasnport channel of Wujing express highway and Changjing rail, constituting the 3 lateral rails in the transportation system. Besides, the Xiangjing express highway, the Jingyue rail and the Suiyue express highway are to be taken as the other 3 lengthwise rails. And finally, there would form "3 rows and 3 colums" rails in this industries transfer accumulation zone.

It has been estimated that by far there are 10 developing regions in the main demonstration plot, 57.76 square kilometers project planning area, and 315.06 square kilometers substantially controlled area.
