Cherry blossoms in Hangzhou will enter their peak time soon with more and more flowering cherry trees dotting the picturesque city.

Spring Cherry, or Prunus subhirtella, from Japan is the main type of cherry tree growing at the side of West Lake and along roads in Hangzhou.

To experience walking among the blooming cherry trees, visitors can take a tour to Taiziwan Park, Huagang Park around West Lake or Heyu Road in Yuhang district.

Taiziwan Park is famous for its 1,200 cherry trees from Japan dating back to 1988. In addition, its tulips will soon be in full bloom, so visitors to the park can expect a colorful blossoming world.
