China signed a deal with North Korea on February 25 to build a bridge over their border on the Yalu River, a project which was part of a major economic package announced by Beijing.

Wu Hailong spoke highly of the signing, saying it is critical in the bridge project. He also urged the construction to be started as soon as possible.
Dandong has listed the project as one of 87 major task in 2010. Upon completion, the bridge will promote local economy in Dandong.
