Ways of celebrating Women's Day
A woman prepares to smash a TV set at a mall in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning province, March 5, 2010, to celebrate the International Women's Day, which falls on March 8. The mall opened a special area where women can smash plates into pieces, tear up newspapers, and smash TV sets and cell phones as they wish. Entering the area was free but you had to spend more than 38 yuan at the mall for a chance to break things. The things were all real and second-hand, and the event was for women participants only.
