Vanida Kuttawas, consul general for Thailand in Qingdao, headed a delegation to visit the Qingdao Bureau of Commerce on September 15.
Ma Weigang, director general of Qingdao’s Bureau of Commerce, held working-level talks with the Thai delegation on trade and investment cooperation as well as on the bilateral economic partnership. Ma expressed his congratulations to the foundation of Thailand’s Consulate General in Qingdao and hoped that it could play a vital role in promoting the economic and trade cooperation between Qingdao and Thailand.
“Thailand is Qingdao’s most important partner in the ASEAN region (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), and has great cooperation potential, especially in the rubber and tire industry,” Ma said.

Ma extended his thanks to Vanida Kuttawas for attending the 2014 Qingdao International Economic Partner City Roundtable and welcomed Thailand's cities to cooperate with Qingdao. He also invited Thailand to take part in the China International Rubber Industry Expo in Qingdao in October.
“We will bend ourselves to facilitate the cooperative partnership between Qingdao and Thailand,” Kuttawas said. The Thai delegation also invited Qingdao enterprises to participate in ARCHITECT, a home decor exhibition in Bangkok.
