The 2014 International Horticultural Exposition in Qingdao, East China’s Shandong province, won eight awards, including one for the best architecture in the 2014 Qingdao International Ecocity and Green Roof Conference, which was held in the city’s Wyndham Grand Hotel on Oct 21st. The event attracted experts and enterprise representatives from various countries and regions around the world.

According to Li Fengli, secretary general of the Qingdao Expo executive committee, the Qingdao Expo has been laying emphasis on ecological protection and will continue to promote the theme of “from the earth, for the earth”.
