The Huangdao district government of the city of Qingdao, Shandong province has begun providing free wireless Internet services to the area and expects to cover three scenic spots – at Jingshatan, Yingshatan and Tangdaowan in the West Coast New Area – by spring to make travel more convenient and intelligent, its tourist administration has announced.

The project consists of a tourism website for the West Coast New Area, mobile apps, a geographical layout system and a way to present scenic spots in 3D.

The free WiFi service will eventually extend to more AAAA level scenic spots, such as the city’s Dazhushan Mountain, Langyatai Scenic Spot and Qingdao Forest Wildlife World.
