The coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province, held a recent party for the "We're together" charitable event, at the Shangri-La Hotel, where it raised 188, 000 yuan ($30,370) in funds for the Qiji School in the town of Linnan, Shandong.

The activity started, on Nov 14, by collecting 150 tables and chair sets, from obviously caring locals, as well as four rostrums for use by primary schools and kindergartens, while other donations will be used to renovate teachers' offices and for teaching aids.
