General aviation flights range from gliders and powered parachutes to corporate business jet flights. The majority of the world's air traffic falls into this category, and most of the world's airports serve general aviation exclusively.
Qingdao West Coast New Area also plans to introduce advanced aviation technology from Russia to form a full industrial chain integrating assembly, sale, test, maintenance, deposit and training of large-scale helicopter of Russia. After completion, the airport will mainly be used for test, trial flight and navigation of aircrafts like helicopter and provide support to the emergency rescue, disaster relief and firefighting of the city.
