In 2011, Sailun Tire Co set up a branch office in Vietnam with a total investment of $95 million. According to Wang Chongju, the deputy general manager of Sailun's Vietnam branch, the factory is the biggest manufacturing enterprise in Vietnam at present. With its half-steel tires starting production and making profits, Sailun is planning to start its second phrase project.

"Vietnam is one of the main producing areas of natural rubber. Establishing the factory here not only provides us with cheaper raw materals and workforce, but also promotes Sailun's tire trading business by resorting to local international trade policies," said Wang.

Though revenues of tire production and recycling in the first half of 2015 decreased a little, Wand said tire trading increased by 190.91 percent than 2014. "Sailun maintains steady international development momentum with its exports far exceeding domestic sales. It also possesses two foreign sales companies, namely King Road Tyres Group in the UK and Komark Group in Canada."
