Matthew Bruno, managing director of the company said their clients still want customized solutions, though they initially offered a standardized transaction processing model to better utilize technology and economies of scale.

“We then recognized that each client’ processes and individual steps could be improved, by applying tools like Lean methodologies, automation, macros and other ideas, and the impact would also be huge,” he said.

However, to optimize all of the company’s more than 4,000 processes, it would require the efforts of the company’s more than 2,500 employees.

Christopher Watkins, VP of Technology at ReSource Pro, said one of the most important elements for this sort of mass transformation requires building a culture of innovation. “A culture of innovation starts by engaging all levels of the company. You need programs that encourage continuous improvement ideas from the front line staff, primarily by managers, and then a handful of “big bets” overseen by an innovation committee,” he said.

To encourage free thinking they have even created an award to celebrate failures.

“We want to let everyone know that we should not be afraid of failure as good ideas should always be tested,” said David Watkins.

The results have been nothing short of amazing. By the end of 2015, the company has implemented 2885 ideas, improving production by 90,000 hours, according to Matthew Bruno.

Wang Rongrong, a business director at ReSource Pro, said, the company is also developing high-value operational solutions for clients, including a new product that enables clients to capture additional revenues by adjusting sales and marketing.

Another example is using a pooled team to process some common tasks with automated tools as performing all the processes on a standard platform is still difficult for clients to accept, Wang said.

The success of Advance It innovation campaign has also won recognition from many clients. Lynn Harper, Service Manager at SilverStone Group, said “Resource Pro has been a valuable asset to our firm with their latest practices in innovative technologies. It is amazing to see that through the Advance It program associates get to come up with ideas that make a real difference.”
