Alibaba delegation visits Qingdao National High-tech Development Zone

Yin Yipan, vice president of Alibaba's International Department in North China, led a delegation to Qingdao National High-tech Development Zone on Nov 1 to investigate the zone's Internet industry.
The two sides exchanged in-depth views on enhancing strategic cooperation and promoting the development of the "Internet plus" industry in a meeting.

Shang Liqun, a top official from the Qingdao National High-tech Development Zone, said the zone is a high-end industry cluster in Qingdao, and one of the best on the Shandong Peninsula. The zone is dedicated to build an ecological new town with strong radiating capacity and sustainable development, which will allow the zone to attract investments and businesses from Internet companies like Alibaba.
Shang added that Alibaba, as China's largest Internet company, takes the lead in many fields such as e-commerce, Internet financing, logistics, cloud computing, and cross-border trade. Bilateral cooperation in bid data platform construction, cross-border trade, and e-commerce talent training has vast potential.
Yin introduced Alibaba's development information as well as future plans. He said that the Qingdao National High-tech Development Zone possesses regional superiority and is a strong base for the Internet industry, which is consistent with Alibaba's future development plans.
Yin added that this visit will provide an opportunity for future cooperation in fields such as big data, cross-border e-commerce, and general innovation.
