A Taoist priest reads a book on Laoshan Mountain. Taiqing Palace on the mountain is one of the most famous Taoist temples in existence. It was built in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) under the reign of Emperor Kangxi in 1663, but was renamed as Taiqing palace during Emepror Qianlong's reign in 1768.
