Each team was comprised of 14 individuals; one cox, one drummer, 10 paddlers, and two alternates. Each team was required to have at least four female paddlers.

The participants were from local companies and institutions such as Shanghai Tower, Lujiazui Group, Huajin Securities, and E-Capital Transfer. The organizers hoped the event helped to bring people from different working environments closer together, particularly due to the team spirit and courage required to take part in such races.

After fierce competition, the Lujiazui Group team won the championship and Covestro (Shanghai) Management Co team took second place.
