Fencer Hao Jialu was the first to win a medal in fencing for Shanxi in the National Games three years ago. She won three team championships in the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, the 2015 World Fencing Championships and 2016 Fencing World Cup.
Hao will compete in the Women's Fencing Team Epee in Rio next month.

Swimming female player Cao Yue won the first swimming gold medal for the Shanxi team in history at the Asian Games in 2014. In the same year, she took the championship of the FINA Swimming World Cup.

Young wrestling athlete Wang Lumin, who will compete in the Olympic Games for the first time, also expects a good result in Rio.
China’s delegation includes 160 men and 256 women athletes competing in 210 events over 26 sports at the Rio Games, which open on August 5.
