Like Tomb-sweeping Day, Zhongyuan Festival is a time when Chinese people pay their respects to their ancestors. Every year, the Hong Tong Large Locust Tree scenic spot will organize events for people to commemorate their ancestors.
As is customary, the whole ceremony will follow a series of procedures and rituals. They first worship the large locust and ancient emperors, pray for the prosperity of the country, and pray for peace for each citizen, as well as for a fruitful harvest.
