Ge Yuansheng fires up a color glaze piece made at his workshop in Taiyuan, on March 13. Ge started learning his color glaze firing skills from the renowned Su family back in 1979 and explored glaze formulas in the ensuing decades, drawing on the experience of other senior craftspeople.
