Yantai promotes cruise tourism at cruise forum
2015-11-02

A delegation representing the Yantai tourism bureau, Yantai Cruise & Yacht Industry association, cruise companies and travel agencies attended the 10th China Cruise Shipping Forum and International Cruise Expo which was held in Shanghai between Oct 13 and 15.

During the forum, the delegation focused on promoting the "Chinese Taishan," the country's first wholly-owned and self-managed luxury cruise produced by Shandong Bohai Ferry Co. It is used to satisfy tourism routes to South Korea and Japan. To date, the ship has carried more than 40,000 passengers.

Besides, the delegation also presented Yantai's cruise tourism resources, port facilities and cruise tourism routes. They also seek cooperation with international cruise companies to raise Yantai's image in cruise tourism.

The forum also included a national cruise tourism promotion meeting to drive the nation's development in cruise tourism. According to a schema unveiled on the occasion, Yantai has been included one of the country's 12 departure ports of cruise tours. The schema also encouraged Yantai to develop cruise tour routes to Northeast Asia.

China Cruise Shipping Forum has served as platform to showcase China's development and achievement of cruise tourism, attracting attention from many cruise companies, ports, tourism cities and travel agencies.
