The Ministry of Land and Resources announced on its website that it has approved Yulong Snow Mountain Glacier National Geological Park.

The ministry also said that it requires the park to protect and explore its glaciers, alpine valleys and other geological heritage, and to improve the park’s management, with the aim of striking the right balance between the development of local resources, the environment and the economy.

The ministry also expects that the Department of Land and Resources of Yunnan province will tighten guidance for the park’s construction process and that it will increase supervision and the number of inspections of the park, to ensure that the local authorities are complying with all the relevant laws and regulations.
