Yunnan Acrobatic Troupe of China Co. Ltd. was previously known as the Yunnan Acrobatic Troupe of China, which was established in 1956, and it has become a relatively large professional cultural group, with many actors, coaches, playwrights, directors, and other skilled professionals in music and performing arts.

Their shows include acrobatics with ethnic features, and they have performed at the China-ASEAN commemorative summit, the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and the opening ceremonies of the World Expo and Kunming International Culture and Tourism Festival. The troupe’s shows have won prizes in major competitions at home and abroad, and have performed to great acclaim in more than forty countries, including the USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Australia, France, Germany, Switzerland, North Korea and Romania, as well as several countries in Africa.
