The third International Stone Exhibition opened in Kunming from Jan 1-7. The public was encouraged to attend the exhibition, which is free of charge, Yunnan.net reported.

More than 500 stone artwares, including Huanglong jade boutiques, were displayed at the exhibition. The International Stone Exhibition presented visitors with characteristic stones with artists’ creation.

China’s Southwest Yunnan province is a producing area of stones with diverse stone culture. In recent years, Yunnan has focused on publicizing stone culture, promoting the stone industry and enriching local residents’ cultural life.

The third International Stone Exhibition is organized by the Joint Office of the Yunnan Stone Industry and Yunnan's Stone Industry Promotion Agency.
