Silver culture is a shining diamond of Yunnan culture. According to historical records, the silver culture in Yunnan province can be dated back to the Han Dynasty (206BC-AD220). In the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), production technology of silver art wares in Yunnan was promoted. With the development of local living conditions, silver jewelry became not just for the rich. Ethnic groups in Yunnan were also influenced by Han culture in the manufacturing and use of silver products, presenting the integration of ethnic and Han culture.

Yunnan Tonghai Corporation is the only time-honored silver company in Yunnan and the province's only China time-honored silver jewelry company certified by the country's Ministry of Commerce. The company has more than 1,000 kinds of silver products, including more than 200 featured products.

This product employs electroplating technology. The lotus on the silver kettle is plated with gold, which makes the kettle more special and beautiful. There's an old Chinese saying that tasting lotus makes people eloquent. The implied meaning that the kettle presents is based on this.

This product employs the Chinese characteristic Kaketu craft, which is dominated by blue. The artists portray the peony pattern with silver on the vase and then fill glaze in the peony pattern before firing. Finally, the workers will polish and grind the vase with gilt. Currently, it is the most exquisite silver manufacturing craft in China.

The manufacture of this pot set combines the Russian porcelain craft with Chinese filament mosaic craft. It employs the peony as its main element.
