Visitors to the 2015 World Expo in Milan will have a chance to listen to live performances of Hani ancient songs in the China Pavilion, from May 1 to October 31.

On June 22, 2013, the Honghe Hani Rice Terraces were named as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The onsite live show of Hani ancient songs in Milan Expo will give global audiences an opportunity to experience Hani culture.

Hani ancient song is a kind of folk song reflecting Hani history and culture and is known as a "non-literal encyclopedia". The multi-part folk song of the Hani group has its own musical system which has aroused the attention of music experts throughout the world.
