The first ever dance drama to depict the Hani ethnic group is in rehearsal at Honghe Gymnasium in Yunnan's Honghe Hani and Yi autonomous prefecture.

The four-scene drama illustrates the Hani ethnic group's history of migrating from the Himalayas to the south bank of the Honghe River in Yunnan province. Around 50 performers will recount the group's history of wars, sacrificial rites and farming through dance.

The dance drama is expected to make its debut in August.
