Beer lovers' carnival, Oktoberfest, got underway in Kunming on Sept 16, with steins filled to the brim with frothing German beer, dancing, singing and all-round revelry.

Visitors to Kunming's Oktoberfest are able to receive coupons for free drinks by send their funny drinking stories to the Wechat accounts "Kunmingfabu" or "Weimeiguandu". Entrants must submit "Oktoberfest" followed by a funny drinking story.

A total of 10 winners will be chosen daily from now until Oct 2, and will receive coupons for free beer or food.

Oktoberfest is a German beer festival of international renown. It has been held since 1810.

The festival first opened its taps in China in 2005 and hasn't looked back, with events taking place all across China, including Beijing, Dalian and Hangzhou.
