China and Thailand cooperate in culinary culture promotion

Representatives from Kunming University signed three cooperation deals with Thai counterparts in Kunming on Nov 29 to set up vocational courses for culinary students.

Li Sumei, principal of the university, said that the campus has cooperated with 72 schools of 19 countries, signed 105 cooperation memos and built nine international cooperation platforms.

“Our school has also made great contribution for the China-Thailand cultural cooperation and applied talent cultivation,” she said.

Li Wenli, head of the Thai Pavilion of Corporate Co, said that the company will help innovate the Thailand and Chinese culinary culture.

“China and Thailand both have profound culinary cultures and very possibly have the cultures improved through cooperation,” she said.
