Tourism at Yangchenghu Lake area features pristine ecology
(chinadaily.com.cn)Kunshan welcomed a booming but orderly tourism season during the National Day holiday (Oct 1 to 7) this year.
According to authoritative statistics, total visitors to Kunshan totaled 1.9 million, and the total tourism revenue hit 21 billion yuan ($3.43 billion). Compared with last year’s National Day holiday, the numbers are higher by 11 and 13 percent, respectively. Scenic spots like Zhouzhuang, Jinxi and Qiandeng all saw peak crowds from Oct 2 to 4. Their tourist capacity reached a historical high.
The tourism has stimulated the development of service sectors. Hotels, restaurants and shopping markets all saw strong revenue. To maintain an orderly travel environment, the Kunshan government made extensive preparations. The Kunshan tourism administration strengthened travel inspections to make sure that tourists can enjoy a safe travel environment. The tourist consulting center also gave consultations and received complaints.
