Zhouzhuang rolls out crayfish festival

A food fiesta featuring various flavored crayfish is currently underway in Zhouzhuang, an iconic water town in East China's Jiangsu province.

The venues are Shui Zhi Yun Hotel and Mama’s Restaurant.

The festival, started on April 16, is slated to run every night from 18:00pm to 22:30 pm until May 31.

In addition to crayfish, visitors could also enjoy beer, barbecue and music there.

Shui Zhi Yun

Shui Zhi Yun, the largest hotel in Zhouzhuang, could accommodate more than 800 eaters at the same time. There eaters are able to relish the food packed with Zhouzhuang characteristics in particular with the Wansan pork shank, a traditional dish named after Shen Wansan, the first millionaire from Jiangnan, the region south of the Yangtze River Delta during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
