Tillerson to visit the region for DPRK talks

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will travel to Japan, the Republic of Korea and China next week on his first visit to the region since assuming the job last month, the State Department said. He will arrive in Tokyo on Wednesday, continue on to Seoul on March 17 and will then travel to Beijing the following day. The nuclear and missile activities of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are expected to dominate Tillerson's talks with his counterparts.

Securities regulator to brief media on market reform

Financial analysts will be watching closely as China's securities watchdog, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, holds its weekly media briefing on Friday. Attention will focus on the regulator's latest measures on capital market reform, and on the New Third Board - the country's stock market devoted to micro, small and medium-sized companies.

Hundreds of products to go on show at farm fair

The fifth Beijing Agriculture Carnival will kick off in Changping district on Saturday. Nearly 700 types of farm products will be displayed at the event. It will also feature more than 130 innovative agricultural projects. The annual event runs until May 7.

Final Fantasy fans await release of movie

Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, a movie based on the long-running Japanese video game series Final Fantasy, will open across the Chinese mainland on Friday. Set in a prequel timeline ahead of the games, the movie centers on a magical kingdom's war against the evil invaders. The first game was published in 1987. Kingsglaive is the third installment adapted from the games.
