Biz: Top Chinese cities for international trade

A list of the top 100 Chinese international trading cities for 2016 was released by the General Administration of Customs last month. Travel: Tibet receives over 8.6 million tourists so far this year

More than 8.6 million tourists from home and abroad visited the Tibet autonomous region in the first half of this year, up 25 percent year-on-year. Tourism revenue during the period reached 9.3 billion yuan ($1.4 billion). Ctrip, the country's largest online travel agency, issued a list of China's top 10 summer resorts, with Tibet ranked first. Tourism experts forecast more tourists in the following months as the region will celebrate a series of events.
