Acclaimed British director Daryl Goodrich is among the five international directors who came to Beijing to create a short film leading up to the Olympic Games.
Goodrich chose sport as the theme for his short film for Vision Beijing. The film reveals how Beijing has gained more confidence and acquired fresh optimism to hold the Olympics.
Goodrich calls his film, "The Faith of Beijing". He got his inspiration when by chance, he came across a magazine article written in China, 100 years ago.
"The article expresses three questions: when will China send an athlete to the Olympic Games; When will China send a team to Olympic Games; when will China hold Olympics? Now all the questions have been answered," said Daryl goodrich.
The camera focuses on the athlete. Goodrich says the energy, vigor and strong faith of the athletes is what touches him most deeply.
