The seemingly tidy ratio of diseases from vaccines in Jiangxi province is no excuse for health officials to get lazy in monitoring and supervising the production, transportation and inoculation of vaccines.

The 45 cases of disease in more than 9 million children in Jiangxi inoculated with vaccines comes out to a tidy ratio of 4.96 per million. That mark is lower than the 10 per million standard accepted by the World Health Organization.
