Comment on "Open doors still welcome foreign investment" (China Daily, April 15)
I think the new policy is open and positive, but it should be accompanied by more open visa rules. According to current visa rules, foreign businessmen who expect to stay more than six months in China are required to undergo a medical test. And if they test positive for a disease such as hepatitis B or C, they will be refused a visa or expelled from China.
Very few countries still have such a restrictive and discriminatory visa policy. If this rule can be changed, it will help increase foreign investment in China.
