The ruined pillars of the Old Summer Palace or Yuanmingyuan. It is in the east central Haidian district of Beijing. It was built in 1707 during the reign of Kangxi Emperor. It covers an area of 350 acres. It boasts more than 100 scenic spots, and it’s an imperial garden that was built and run by the emperors of the Qing dynasty during the dynasty’s more than 150 years of rule. |
