About the eighth century, the chrysanthemum was introduced from China to Japan as an ornamental flower. At the end of 17th century, it had been introduced to part of Europe by Dutch merchants and to France in the next century. In the middle of 19th century, the chrysanthemum was introduced to North America and it’s been all over the world since then.
