If the companies think there is some gap between their expectations and employees' working skills, they should pay for the additional training to bridge the gap. Very few young staff start a job with all the knowledge necessary to do it well on the first day or the first month. If they did not these employees are not qualified, they can turn them down at interviews rounds and hire more experienced job hunters. But the companies of course need to offer higher salaries to them than the "rookies."
