China Central Television recently broadcast a two-hour talk by Premier Li Keqiang on the state of the economy at the Central Party School, which analyzed the challenges and opportunities facing the Chinese economy and pointed out the key tasks that need to be accomplished in the near future.

Regarding the GDP growth rate for the third quarter, which was 6.9 percent, Li said that they never drew an exact bottom line for growth and the government is trying to keep economic growth rate within a reasonable range.

Li also talked about the importance of adjusting the economic structure while stabilizing economic growth. He emphasized it is necessary to boost innovation and encourage more people to start their own businesses so as to boost the Chinese economy. He also said that the State will shoulder the responsibilities and share the profits with social capital.

This is Li's third talk on the economy broadcast on national TV. The previous two were in 2013 and 2014, in which he talked about allowing people to benefit from reform and development, and about upgrading the Chinese economy through innovation.
