Wang Yunfeng, born 1982 in Beijing, never had a serious job.
I have done a lot of jobs but the most memorable was when I was doing what Beijing calls "three wheels," or "sidecar". This is transportation. I did this vehicle business for several years. While doing this job it satisfied my young notions to possess my own motor vehicle. I think the children of Beijing's "post-80s" children should all consider this a small dream come true.
When I started the business I experienced several particularly interesting situations, made some friends, but the most interesting is probably after 2003 or 2004, after SARS, at my wedding ceremony.
My wedding day was June 26. I woke up pretty early and went out the door, jumped back in shock. Because there were several good friends and also a bunch of acquaintances outside, I discovered there were 17 or 18 cars - a side car and a lead car. Coming down the stairs I could see a lot of people! There were 50 or 60 cars waiting for me. I said "Wow! All of you came. I am so happy!" That day the wedding motorcade went all together.
We went to the Sanlitun bar street area and created a traffic jam. At that time I stood on top of the vehicle just like a commander: oh, that kind of feeling is really exciting. I felt particularly good.
