Luxury public toilet sparks controversy

A public toilet with European-style architecture in Wuhan, Hubei province, March 29, 2014. The toilet has two stories and a clock tower. This is not the first luxury toilet in the city. In December, 2012, a similar toilet that cost 800,000 yuan ($129,000) to build provoked criticism. In 2013, some political advisers suggested the quantity of toilets was more important than quality, since the city still has a shortage of more than 800 public toilets. [Photo/icpress.cn]
