2009 Original Song Award ceremony held in Tianjin

Mainland pop singer Zhou Bichang was the biggest winner at the 2009 China Original Song Awards ceremony, sweeping three awards for Best Mainland Album, Most Popular Mainland Female Singer, and Most Fashionable Singer.

Held every other year, the awards, which closed on Saturday night in Tianjin Sports Center, are the most prestigious in China's music industry.

Mavis Fan from Taiwan won the Most Popular Hong Kong/ Taiwan Female Singer. Su Xing from the mainland and Leo Ku Kuikei from Hong Kong shared the award for Most Popular Male Singer.

The winners of best original Chinese songs are "National College Entrance Exam,1977" from China National Radio, "You and Me" from Beijing Radio Station, "Nation" from Tianjin Radio Station and "Fly Over Xiangbala" from Yunnan Radio Station. .

The award ceremony was broadcast live via 24 radio stations around China.
