Li Ruihuan donates 27 mln yuan to fund‎

Li Ruihuan, former chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, has donated a painting worth 27 million yuan ($4 million) to SangZi education fund in Tianjin to help more college students in poverty, China News Service reported yesterday. The painting, named Bei Guo Feng Guang (Northland scenery), is the masterpiece of Wu Guanzhong, a contemporary artist in China. Li has treasured it for 30 years. The painting was sold for 27 million yuan by the Guardian Auction Company. All the money was donated to the fund that was established by Li in 2004.
