Lizhong Zhang (Leo), was born on July 29, 1983 in China. He is a civil servant in the Qingdao Sports Bureau. Leo can sail RS:X, 470 and T35. Together with Guo Chuan, he participated in the International Sailing Regatta held in Rizhao in 2006.
In light of his knowledge of sailing, Leo was selected to work in big sailing events held in Qingdao, including the 2006 and 2007 Qingdao International Sailing Regattas, the 2005-2006 and 2007-2008 Clipper Round the World and the 2008-2009 Volvo Ocean Race.
What Zhang says The “Qingdao” yacht showcases Qingdao’s beauty to the world as it circumnavigates the globe. Sailing is progressing very well in Qingdao. Joining in this Clipper Round the World race will not only make my dream come true but give me an opportunity to make friends around the world and let them know more about Qingdao.
