China will adopt E-passport in this year, according to officials from the Exit-entry administration bureau of Yunnan.
The director of the exit-entry administration bureau of Yunnan, Zhou Fuchang said these E-passports would prevent illegal exit-entry activities as well as shortening custom declaration times.
E-passport will have the holders' name,gender,birthday, and their passport number stored in a contactless IC Card.
The exit-entry administration bureau of Yunnan will pour in money and technological equipments to implement the passports.
