Official expelled for disciplinary violation

Liu Shituan, former deputy secretary-general of the Party committee of Dongguan city in Guangdong province, has been expelled from the Party and public office for a serious disciplinary violation.

Liu's serious violation during his term as Party secretary of Shijie town in Dongguan led to a huge loss of State-owned assets, the Dongguan Party Commission for Discipline Inspection said in a statement last week.

His case has been transferred to the judiciary.
