Longmen Palace International Hotel breaks ground

Construction of Longmen Palace International Hotel kicked off in the Longmen Grottoes Tourism Zone on Aug 29.
As a key project of Longmen Grottoes this year, the hotel will incorporate accommodations, dining, resorts and entertainment. With a total investment of 500 million yuan ($81.7 million), the hotel will build rooms featuring styles from 13 ancient dynasties over an area of 8 hectares.
Zhou Hongsen, deputy director of administration of the Longmen Grottoes Tourism Zone and head of the Longmen Grottoes Research Institute, said that the hotel will become a new tourist site in Longmen Grottoes. The administration will ensure the project is completed as scheduled.
