Shanghai's two airports reached a new record in passenger traffic numbers over the 40-day Spring Festival travel period in 2015. Over 10.8 million people traveled through Pudong International Airport and Hongqiao International Airport during the period, an increase of 13.12 percent over the previous year.

Statistics show that the two airports handled 9.24 more flights than the previous year at 76,581 flights.

The busiest day came on Feb 13, when the two airports served up to 2,000 flights and 300,000 passengers.
