All retail shops and restaurants at Shanghai Pudong International Airport now accept mobile payment.

Without cash and credit cards, passengers are able to purchase all that they need using more than 10 kinds of mobile payment, including Alipay, WeChat Pay and Apple Pay.

Until Sept 27, the airport and Alipay have a deal where random discounts will be offered to those using the payment method on purchases up to a maximum of 999 yuan ($149.73).

Further promotions will be offered in the future in retail outlets and restaurants, according to the airport.
