Jorgensen stunned the Chinese audience by edging out Chen Jin of China, while Lin eased out all his opponents in the previous rounds.

Lin ended the first set at ease, as usual, delivering a masterful performance to lead from the very beginning. Jorgensen seemed to be in trouble in finding his own rhythm. Lin claimed the first set 21-12.

Jorgensen tried to recover in the second set, only to find himself 1-7 behind Lin after several long rallies. He then made use of Lin's two errors to pull back to 3-7 before Lin speeded up to establish a 12-5 lead. Jorgensen seemed to have used up his energy after that, and Lin sealed his victory with another 21-12.

Lin seemed excited after the final.

"I feel happy to win China Open. I was troubled by injury all through these days, and I also feel tired because of the tight schedule. Anyway, winning a champion at home is exciting."

Jorgensen seemed satisfied with his performance in this season. "It was a tough game and I hadn't expected to reach the final in this tournament, starting with beating Lee Chong Wei. Beating Chen Jin yesterday was a big achievement and I am just happy to reach the final. I got the chance to play him (Lin Dan) and it was amazing."
